The Kerala Health team of Pudur Family Health Centre in Attapady, led by FHC Medical Officer Dr Sukanya K A along with Health Inspector Shri Sunil Vasu, Jr Health Inspector Shri Shaiju and driver Shri Sajesh travelled all through hilly tracks, crossing river Bhavani to reach Murungala hamlet to provide health services in the hamlet.
The Government of India declared Sub National TB Free Certification Award for Kerala state for reducing the TB incidence by 37.5% over the last 5 years. Kerala is the only state in the state category found eligible for the award. The sub national certification TB Free award was declared after a robust epidemiological evaluation lasting for one month in the state conducted by an independent verification group consisting of ICMR- National Institute of Epidemiology, World Health Organisation and Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine.
On behalf of the Kerala Health Team, two foot soldiers - One Junior Health Inspector and One TB Health Visitor were present at NewDelhi.

The Government have rolled out vaccination to Health Care Workers, Front Line workers and priority groups 60 years and above and 45 to 59 years having morbidity.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation especially of the elderly people, by taking efforts to understand the advisories, generating awareness, registering themselves, reaching to the Vaccination centres and cooperating in a discipline way by following COVID appropriate behaviour and availing vaccination services.
Like in the past in many social movements, People are demonstrating through their public action the way to coordinate and make vaccination drive in Kerala a successful public health approach to defeat COVID pandemic.
The fight against COVID19 will get strengthened with the wholehearted involvement of people following health advisories, internalizing the principles of prevention and protection and coordinated actions at all levels.
